Originally founded in 2005 as Starr Painting and Drywall and reimagined in 2022 as Starr Commercial, we are a women owned commercial interior finishing subcontractor and a proven leader in the Denver construction market. Our continued partnerships with the nation’s top general contractors on some of the most significant projects in the Denver marketplace speak for themselves.
In 2020 the company was acquired by its current leadership team, bringing a focus on operational excellence, team development, and intentional growth. Since then, Starr Commercial has expanded to four divisions across the Denver metro and Northern Colorado, grown to approximately $15 million in annual revenue, and invested in the people, technology, and processes that deliver results on every project.
From the first fit to the final finish detail, we stay involved and communicative on every job. We know every project is unique and we are focused on delivering the right solutions, so each one comes in on time and within budget.
Starr Commercial is certified by the City and County of Denver as a Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).

Safety isn’t just a buzzword at Starr Commercial. We take the well-being of all employees very seriously. With each new construction project, we are fully committed to safety, 100% of the time.
We ensure that every new hire completes our mandatory safety orientation before they step foot onto any job site. Pre-task planning before any new task is started. Our rigorous safety program includes professional training in First Aid/ CPR, OSHA 10 & 30, tools, distracted driving, and licensing of individuals who will operate rental equipment. We equip all of our projects with the necessary safety measures to ensure our staff are able to perform their work in a safe manner.
We understand that safety is a permanent message to be continually reinforced through a combination of education, hands on training, certification and repeated messaging. All of this is contained in our comprehensive safety manual and training program delivered through our full-time safety professionals. This all contributes to Starr Commercial upholding our EMR that is lower than the national average.
